Thank you for giving me the honor of telling you about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His free gift of salvation. In a world full of chaos and confusion, I have found peace and fulfillment in my walk with Jesus Christ. That's right, my walk with Him. That's the greatest part about salvation. When you ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart to be your Savior and Lord that's exactly what He does. He actually sets up residence in your heart. You see, Christ not only died on the cross and rose again so that we could have eternal life, but so that He could be with us, to lead and guide us, every day of our lives.
So, how do you go about acquiring this free gift of salvation?
First of all you need to know a few very important things:
1. Realize that you are a sinner. Because of our sins we have been separated from God.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God..." (Romans 3:23)
This means all of us; there are no exceptions.
2. Realize that a price must be paid for your sin. The result of this sin in our lives is death, eternal death.
"Wherefore; as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passes upon all men, for that all have sinned..." (Romans 5:12)
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelations 20:14-15)
This is why we are so desperately in need of salvation. God in His infinite love for us has offered a way out.
3. Realize that Jesus paid the price! He sent His son Jesus to this earth to die for us, to be our sacrifice.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
Jesus gave His life to be the payment for our sins so that we would not have to die ourselves.
4. Ask Christ to save you. Ask Him into your heart to be your Savior and Lord, and you will be saved.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)
All you have to do is to believe with all of your heart that Jesus died for your sins and that God raised Him from the dead. This is God's promise to you. If you would accept Jesus as Lord He will accept you.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
If you would like to receive God's free gift of salvation, then please do so now in a prayer like this:
"Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner, born into a world of sins. I believe that you are the Son of God and you died on the cross so that my sins could be forgiven. I ask you to forgive me of my sins and become my savior. Help me to grow in my relationship with you. Amen."
If you sincerely prayed this prayer, be assured of your salvation!
No matter how you may feel, the Bible tells us that Jesus has heard your prayer and has forgiven you. Where do you go from here? First, you need to get involved with a Bible believing church in your area. While you can't earn your salvation by attending church, surrounding yourself with other believers will strengthen and encourage you as you grow spiritually. Second, read the Bible and pray. Find out what the Bible says about how you should live your life and do your very best to live what you read. Thirdly, tell others about what Jesus has done for you! Jesus taught us to take the message of the Gospel into all the world. Now that you are a part of the family of God, that job belongs to you too!
We would love to hear of your decision so that we can keep you in our prayers. Please leave a message of your decision with our Pastor. If you need help in making this decision for Christ, please feel free to e-mail your response or questions to the Pastor.
If you are in the East Millinocket area, or just passing through, please feel free to come and worship with us at Tri Town Baptist Church.
Thank you so much for your time and may God richly bless your life.
